Jorge Martín wins sprint race at Motegi

Jorge Martín (Ducati) took victory in the sprint race for the Japanese Grand Prix. After a fight for third place, Brad Binder (KTM) and Pecco Bagnaia (Ducati) completed the podium.
Also earning points were: Jack Miller, Johann Zarco, Marco Bezzecchi, Marc Márquez, Fabio Di Giannantonio and Maverick Viñales.
With this result, Jorge Martín closes the distance between him and Pecco Bagnaia to 8 points.
The premier class riders will once again fight for points in the main race of the Japanese Grand Prix on Sunday at 8:00 (CEST).

Hard-fought sprint race by Repsol Honda Team
Marc Márquez crossed the finish line in the same position in which he started: Seventh. The Repsol Honda Team rider had a good start that placed him in fifth position for much of the race. However, after a duel with Bezzecchi, he lost a couple of places before the chequered flag.
Joan Mir, who started fifteenth, managed to gain some places off the line and remained in 12th position during the opening laps. After the midway point of the race, he dropped a few places to finish 13th.
